Marija + Baby Rats

My friend Marija and her baby rats. Actually they´re a lot bigger now, but this painting took forever. It was supposed to be just a quick sketch... Also, I´m afraid of rats, so I tried to make them as cute and un-rat-like (mousy?) as possible.

What I really like about this painting:
- the way her hair looks
- the colors
- the background

What I don´t like:
- her zipper looks out of place
- something is wrong with the face-I should use more photo ref
- Marija doesn´t look much like herself
- there are rats in this picture-ICKY!
